“ We had a fabulous time at Cedar Creek. The Staff were friendly and welcoming, the views are incredible and the food is out of this world. We started with the frozen Chardonnay which is a MUST!!!! I had the roasted cabbage with freekeh and a tomato sauce, it was my favourite meal while visiting Kelowna. My husbands meal was also delicious, he had the fish (I believe it was salmon) with charred baby gem lettuce and he throughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend a meal here!! ”

“ The portions are absolutely massive - there will be take home boxes with leftovers for the men in your life. We always bring our friends and family here - the chef kills it time and time again. Be aware that the bathrooms are a free for all - there may be a dude on a toilet next to you. It is at the best - very awkward. That being said - say hi to the cows on your way out. ”

“ Was gifted a three course dinner during our latest Okanagan getaway. Easily top 5 best dinners in my life. My three courses were Crispy Squid (2023 Estate Riesling) appetizer, Wood Roasted Flat Iron Steak w/ Horseradish & Buttermilk crushed potatoes, Oyster mushrooms and peppercorn sauce (2021 Estate Meritage) followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding. We added a Kale Ceasar salad to share between the four of us. Each dish was superb and the pairings not only complimented, but made the flavours pop! (You can opt to skip the pairings - but if you’re not driving or a teetotaller why would you skip it?) Service was attentive, but not pushy - don’t worry about being pressured to turn the table over. With the view of the valley of Lake Okanagan, it is an experience to be savoured. Definitely aimed at the over 40 crowd (music included Joy Division and Led Zep’s Travelling Riverside Blues), Home Block is one of those places that you’ve got to eat here once - whether it’s to celebrate an occasion or the terroir to table menu. A couple of notes: if you must ask, this is right now my number 2 best supper ever. And I still have two to go this week. If there is a heaven, Home Block at Cedar Creek Estate Winery’s Sticky Toffee Pudding has to be a food group unto itself. ”

“ We had an amazing 5-course experience for my birthday. Five very balanced & delicious courses, with an additional sticky toffee pudding for dessert (a must!). We didn’t feel any pressure to drink by staff as we are participating in dry January and opted for their great non-alcoholic options. Our server, Jen, was bright, kind, informative, and an incredible host for our evening despite also serving a large party in the private room. She remained attentive and like we were the only guests at the restaurant. Thanks Jen & Home Block team ”

“ We had a 3-course wine-paired meal. For appetizers, we had the crispy squid and burrata. The entrée was the Pork Chop and a 10oz flat iron steak. For dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Chocolate Zucchini Cake. The reason we give Home Block a 4-star rating is due to the contrast in the food from appetizers to entrees. I believe the chef's choices for this course were incorrect, and I hope the reasons below are heavily taken into consideration. The burrata was not good, the bread was way too oily, there were no greens, and everything had a layer of grease to it. The reason it doesn't go well is that the same onions used on the burrata were also used on the Entrée steak. This causes the flavour profiles to be the same. The next issue was that the Steak had fried lion's mane mushrooms, which resembled the same fried flavour profile as the crispy squid. This makes little contrast between the appetizer and entree, which was not desired. With limited options to choose from on the appetizer and entree list (which is a standard at winery restaurants), the dishes should not have similar flavour profiles, as this doesn't allow for a proper flavour showcase and experience of the food. Overall, Home Block was great; the portion sizes were big, the quality of the food was great, the service and atmosphere were great, but the choice of ingredients used in the dishes was incorrect. There needs to be more contrast between the dishes to allow for a better experience with the flavour profiles of the food. We will be back, and in hopes chefs contrast in ingredient choices are adjusted to allow for a better dining experience. ”

“ We really enjoyed the wine pairing experience, the food was amazing and the wine enhanced the flavor, they really know about their food and wine that’s why they make your experience better. We had the lunch two courses meal , beautiful, made with heart and unique, and worth to mention is the portion is good we are full with the 2 course. I really liked their Riesling wine , worth the price! And the design of the restaurant makes you feel high end but cozy . Overall I will recommend this restaurant! ”

“ Awesome experience at Home Block restaurants! We hat the five course menu and one of the best meals in a very long time. Combined with some very special wines it made a perfect experience in an amazing scenery. We hat a table in the first row on the terrace and could enjoy an outstanding view to the lake over the vineyards of the Cedar Creek winery. Highly recommend. Don’t miss the chance to stop if you’re in the area! And it started already before getting there. We’ve been asked if there were any dietary specifics they would need to consider for the menu. Very attentive and made alle the way throughout the evening! ”
